Although they are hardy, many of them will not flower in cooler European summers, however this one (a sport of Miscanthus sinensis ‘Gracillimus’) is a particularly elegant and versatile form. Its slender green blades have narrow cream margins, and they arch gently at their tips to create a fountain-like effect. In warm summers, you will also be rewarded with reddish brown flowers that open in October and endure through the winter. Garden care: Leave top growth standing through winter. Cut back to ground level late February as new shoots appear within the crown.
