The flowerheads are fine additions to cut arrangements, and will dry well for longer-lasting appeal. It will also flourish in coastal settings. Growing instructions: Sow seed 5mm deep in a well prepared, sunny seed bed in spring and thin out when large enough to handle. Alternatively start them in autumn using a gritty compost and keep them in a cold frame. Pot on the seedlings (being careful not to disturb the roots), when large enough to handle and harden off before planting out in spring.
