Position: full sun Soil: moist, well-drained neutral to slightly acid soil Rate of growth: slow-growing Hardiness: fully hardy Forming a rounded dome of stiff branches that are clothed with short, aromatic, dark green leaves, each with a paler reverse. This popular litte evergreen conifer is ideal for patio pots, small gardens or sunny rockeries, where it will offer year-round colour and form. Garden care: Pruning is not usually necessary, however any shoots that ruin the symmetry of the plant can be removed in autumn. Apply a generous layer of mulch around the base of the plant (avoiding the immediate crown) in late winter.
