‘De Nancy’ fruits beautiful red-flushed, yellow-orange plums which are sweet and juicy. Although primarily used in cooking, they are excellent fresh. Mirabelle plums are an important ingredient in French cuisine and can be used to make Tarte aux Mirabelles, among other dishes. The tree may need extra support under the fruit-bearing branches to avoid them breaking under the weight of the heavy crop.
