An easy to grow reliable producer of large black cherries with excellent flavour
‘Kordia’ is a new introduction that produces large glossy black fruits, which are resistant to cracking in the summer rain. The fruits have a well balanced flavour – sweet with a hint of acidity – and a firm texture. The tree is resistant to canker and will reliably produce crops when paired with a self-fertile variety. ‘Kordia’ is recipient of the RHS’ Award of Garden Merit, which helps gardeners make an informed choice about plants.
