A true dual purpose plum with delightful flavour
A heavy cropping variety of golden plum, ‘Coe’s Golden Drop’ is noted for its yellow-golden fruits, which are large and oval, with a sweet flavour. Good for eating fresh and also for preserves and pies, these plums were introduced in 1800, in Suffolk, and thus are a traditional English plum. The tree itself is often trained to bush, half standard, or fan, and needs a minimum of five years staking.
