Beauty of Bath originated from the 19th Century as a local variety grown at Bailbrook, near Bath. It was introduced by the nurseryman George Cooling of Bath circa 1864. With attractive looking small to medium sized, flat round fruit, it is russeted with red flush and stripes over pale greenish yellow skin. Creamy white, soft, juicy flesh, sometimes stained pink under the skin. An excellent apple to have in any garden.
