Heavy cropping variety with excellent disease resistance
‘Ben Adler’ is a very heavy-cropping, modern Scottish variety with late fruiting and excellent disease resistance. The blackcurrants can be used to give a rich tart flavour, and are also delicious as a purée with yoghurt or ice cream. They can even be used in pies, jams or juices. These fruits freeze very well if you would like to keep some for future use. Late-blooming, from July to August.
